TransferNow

Send 3D files with their textures, without breaking anything

A 3D scene is one file… plus all its dependencies: 4K textures, simulation caches, linked assets. TransferNow sends the complete project up to 5 GB for free and up to 500 GB with an account — folder structure preserved, relative paths intact.

The problem

Why does a 3D scene never arrive in one piece?

The scene file weighs nothing next to its dependencies: a set of 4K PBR textures alone tops a gigabyte, with simulation caches and HDRIs close behind. And email caps out at 20-25 MB — even an average OBJ doesn’t fit.

Every studio knows the result: the scene shows up hot pink — missing textures — because one folder didn’t make the trip. Downsizing textures degrades the render; zipping everything into multiple volumes ends in painful reassembly; drives demand accounts and permissions.

The project has to leave whole, folders and relative paths included. TransferNow sends it as is, up to 500 GB per transfer with an account.

The solutions

Four ways to deliver a 3D project

Freelancer to studio, studio to client: 3D delivery is an exercise in completeness. An honest comparison.

Comparison of sending methods: maximum size, quality and recipient experience.

Downsize/compress texturesWeight divided by 2 to 4Final render degradedAttachment if heavily reduced
Self-contained GLB/USDZ exportVariesAll-in-one but flattened (no sources)Good for viewing, not for reworking
Drive / cloud storageDepends on the account quotaIntactAccount or permissions often required

The complete project: no more pink scenes

Drag in the project folder: scene, textures/, caches/, references — the structure is preserved, so relative paths work on open. The receiving studio runs a render, not a hunt for missing files.

Texture downsizing: visible in the final render

Dropping textures from 4K to 1K melts the weight away — and the render’s sharpness with it. Fine for a preview, not for delivering a project the client expects at final quality.

The self-contained GLB: handy, but frozen

A GLB or USDZ packs everything into one file — ideal for viewing or integrating. But it’s a flattened export: simplified materials, no more nodes or modifiers. A recipient who needs to rework it needs the sources.

The cloud: workable, with your quota held hostage

A 50 GB 3D project locks up half a standard drive. A time-limited transfer link delivers the same thing without mortgaging your storage or juggling permissions.

Guide

How to send 3D files with their textures, without breaking anything?

  1. 1

    Drag in the project folder

Scene, textures, caches and references — up to 5 GB for free, folder structure preserved.

  2. 2

    Choose email or link

Send directly to the studio or the client, or share the link in your production tool.

  3. 3

    Track delivery

A notification on every download: you know when rendering can begin.

With TransferNow

Built for your 3D files

500 GB per transfer

Sized for heavy assets

5 GB free for a textured asset; up to 500 GB per transfer with an account — the complete archviz scene, HDRIs and caches included.

Byte for byte

No conversion

BLEND, FBX, OBJ, GLB, USD, C4D, MA/MB… files travel strictly untouched — rigs, UVs, materials and hierarchies intact.

Relative paths

Textures stay attached

The folder structure is preserved: relative paths to textures/ and caches/ work on open — no pink scene.

Video preview

The turntable in the same transfer

Attach a preview render or an MP4 turntable to the transfer: the client sees the result before opening the sources.

Frequently asked questions

How do I send a 3D scene without losing the textures?

Send the complete project folder: the structure is preserved, so relative paths to the textures work on open. In Blender, also use File → External Data → Pack Resources to embed everything in the .blend.

Which 3D formats are accepted?

All of them: BLEND, FBX, OBJ, GLB/GLTF, USD/USDZ, C4D, MA/MB, ZTL… No format is rejected or converted — the file travels byte for byte.

Are rigs and materials preserved?

Yes: no processing is applied, so rigs, constraints, UVs, materials and hierarchies arrive exactly as they are in your file.

Can I send a project of several dozen gigabytes?

Yes: up to 500 GB per transfer with an account. For very large uploads, our desktop apps handle long connections better than a browser tab.

Does the receiving studio need an account?

No: they download the project from their browser, in full or file by file, with no sign-up. You are notified on every download.
