Torn between SendGB and TransferNow?

On size, it’s a tie: 5 GB per free transfer on both sides, no sign-up required. The difference lies in the experience and the features included.

SendGB displays ad banners to fund its free plan while you send files, and your files are replicated across several regions of the world with no say in the matter. TransferNow offers a clean, smooth interface with no ads while sending, and files hosted in France or in a region close to your location for both speed and GDPR compliance.

From the free plan, TransferNow also adds:

• customization of the download link and message — paid-only with SendGB;
• a detailed notification for every download, where SendGB settles for a basic notification;
• preview and streaming without restrictions (images, videos, audio, PDF);
• file reception (email request, upload link), absent from SendGB.

The SendGB Extra plan (from 29.90 €/year) lets you send 200 to 500 GB per transfer depending on the tier, with no ads, but remains very limited on customization. For occasional massive transfers, SendGB also offers Exceed, a pay-per-use option up to 1 TB.

Individual plan

• TransferNow Premium: 250 GB per transfer from ~10 €/month, dedicated storage space, fully customizable interface, retention up to 365 days.
• SendGB Extra: 200 to 500 GB per transfer depending on the tier, from 29.90 €/year, limited customization.

Team plan

• TransferNow Team: 10 accounts included for a flat fee, permission management, groups and a shared dashboard.
• SendGB Business: billed per user, without advanced management or administration features.

For large organizations, TransferNow Enterprise adds a subdomain and dedicated domain (CNAME), regional storage, SSO and SCIM — features SendGB doesn’t offer.

Customization options on SendGB remain limited, even on the Business plans: it’s impossible, for example, to create a dedicated subdomain for your company.

Password protection is available from the free version on both sides. TransferNow adds SSE-C encryption with a custom key: your files are unreadable to anyone unauthorized, including our own teams.

You also choose where your files are stored (France, EU, United States…) — SendGB doesn’t offer that granularity: its files are replicated on Cloudflare’s worldwide infrastructure (up to six regions, with no EU location guarantee). Every file transferred through TransferNow is scanned by an antivirus solution, and two-factor authentication (SMS or app) protects user accounts.

SendGB offers no public API and no transfer automation solution. TransferNow provides a complete REST API on a pay-as-you-go basis: you only pay for the transfers made through the API.
